Africa Safari South Serengeti is a comfortable accommodation, located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and offers easy access to the crater, while at the same time being on the south side of Lake Ndutu, which is in the Serengeti National Park.

The best of both worlds! The nearby airstrip offers connections to the other major airstrips and airports. The area is famous for the calving season of the Great Migration, an absolute highlight of the annual wildebeest migration. The short rains in November and December provide nutritious pastures for the wildebeest, which stay in the area until the end of the long rains. Most calves are born in January and February. The open grassy plains offer them some safety, but these young wildebeest attract hungry predators, such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas. Between April and November, the south-eastern plains dry out, but there is still an abundance of game in the area. There are in fact two water sources, Lake Masek and Lake Ndutu, where many wild animals come to drink.

The 15 accommodations (9 Safari Comfort and 6 Luxury Glamping) form two wings with a restaurant tent and a bar/lounge tent in the middle. The classic safari tents are fully furnished with locally made furniture and have an en suite bathroom. There are also 5 Safari Tents available, with a shared toilet and shower.

Our restaurants and bar

At Africa Safari South Serengeti, the dining experience is set beneath canvas, where two wings of safari tents host a welcoming restaurant and a central bar and lounge tent. Enjoy hearty meals served in a rustic yet cosy setting, with wooden furnishings and African-inspired décor. The bar and lounge provide the perfect spot to unwind with a drink after a day of adventure, creating a warm and communal safari atmosphere.

Great resting place in the middle of your safari adventure
Amazingly located in the middle of nature! Ideal for a safari break and to sleep in a luxury tent. The staff is kind and professional and despite all the animals around we felt very safe They were accomodation to our food restrictions and preferences despite the dinner being a buffet style with limited options. The ambience and adventure spirit is shared by everyone, because it's a prime location for a resting place when you are in the middle of your safari adventure. The only downside is the lack of water pressure for a shower, which was to be expected given the location. Overall was a magnificent experience and the tent is super comfortable!

Wonderful Safari Tour
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The food was delicious, the staff incredibly friendly, and the service excellent. The setting is absolutely breathtaking. We went on a two-day safari with Seneth and Mathias, and they were amazing – not only were they very kind and knowledgeable, but they also went above and beyond to help us with some car troubles we had. Their support made a huge difference, and the safari tour itself was simply unforgettable. We would come back here again anytime and can highly recommend both the hotel and the safari experience!

Wonderful Experience
Wonderful experience. Safari tents in the bush, camp fire at night with great sunsets. Food was 5 star quality, with a nice variety that will fit the needs of anyone. Staff was very friendly and professional. Check in and out was effortless. Animals roaming in the camp makes even better.
